Wilma L. Spannagel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma L. Spannagel of Strasburg, Illinois, who passed away on July 29, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren E. Ragan and Esther Grace Ragan (Hunter); her husband Lloyd Ray Spannagel; her siblings, Rollin, Robert Ragan, Rosalie Schultz, Carol Jones and Corma Hurst; and her son-in-law Donald Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory John Spannagel (Michelle) of Shelbyville, Dianna Lynn Gibson of Strasburg, Patricia Ann Williams (John) of Pana and Barbara Lou Ohnesorge of Strasburg; her brother Merle Ragan of Effingham; her grandchildren, Jason Spannagel (Amanda) of Carterville, IL, Ashley Holmes (Stephen) of Nixa, MO, Danell Condron (Tim) of Mattoon, Abbey Giles (Ricardo "Coco" Salgado) of Salem, IL, Joshua Spannagel (Beth) of Stewardson, Chelsey Weber (Mike) of Oconee, Dylan Ohnesorge (Amelia) of Stewardson and Collin Ohnesorge of Granite City, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Kohnert (Robert) of Effingham and Donna Schultz (Larry) of Stewardson. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL or Christ Lutheran Church of the Deaf in Central Illinois, Jacksonville, IL.
