He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Childress; and his children, Candie Kessler of Stewardson, IL, Robin Shumard (Roger) of Stewardson, IL, Annie Friese of Stewardson, IL, Jamie Thomas of Tuscola, IL, Janis Thomas of Mattoon, IL, Jodie Thomas of Savannah, GA and Steve Schmidt of Stewardson, IL. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Strasburg United Methodist Church.
