He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Ray and Ruth Foster Manhart (Anderson); his former wife Carol Ann Manhart (Storm); his son Joseph Gannaway; his brother James Manhart; and his brother-in-law James Merriman.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Eloise Boyer; his children, Emily Gilmore (Matthew) of Herrick, IL, Molly Manhart (Oscar Velasquez) of Los Angeles, CA, Roxanna Manhart (Alex Parisien) of Minot, ND and Eric Morgensen (Tristalene) of Bremerton, WA; his siblings, Fred Manhart (Janet) of Stewardson, IL, Paul Manhart (Carol) of Strasburg, IL, Peter Manhart (Karen) of Downs, IL, Michael Manhart (Linda) of Moweaqua, IL and Muriel Merriman of Stewardson, IL; his sister-in-law Oksana Manhart of Libertyville, IL; and his grandchildren, River Gilmore, Parker Parisien, Spencer Morgensen, Max Morgensen, Cooper Morgensen and Harmony Morgensen.
