Evelyn Augenstein Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Augenstein of Strasburg, Illinois, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn Augenstein to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Louthan and LaDon Louthan (Long); her in-laws, Charles and Geraldine Augenstein; her brother Chuck Louthan; and her sister-in-law Billie Mae Louthan.
She is survived by: her husband Kenton Augenstein; her children, Kathy Frost (Wally) of Strasburg and Brad Augenstein (Kristie) of Strasburg; her grandchildren, Charles "Trey" Frost, Allie Nixon, Taylor Frost (Kelsey), Brittani Mette (Dalton), Kourtni Kerner (Taylor) and Gage Augenstein; her great grandchildren, Brinley, Blake, Eva, Emma, Rowan, Kenton Frost, Eila Kerner and Harper Mette; and her siblings, Jim Louthan (Janice), Tom Louthan (April) and Betty Myers (Bill). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Trinity Lutheran Church (113 S Walnut St, Stewardson, IL 62463).
Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association, HSHS Hospice or the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #289 in Strasburg, IL.
