He is survived by: his former wife Helen Snyder; his wife Helen Covington of Stonington; his children, Richard Covington Jr. (Jill) of Stonington, Jeannine Covington of Stonington, Tom Covington (Cheryl) of Stonington and Vicki Furry (Jeff) of Normal; his grandchildren, Brent Covington (Abby) of Chesterfield, Natalie Sutimek (Thay) of Bloomington, Kyle Furry (Margaret) of LaGrange, Matthew Covington (Tiffany) of Roselle and Megan Cocagne (Chase) of Taylorville; and his great grandchildren, William, Jane, Kate Covington, Mason, Graham, Sophie Sutimek, Kendall, Reese Cocagne, Joey and Elle Covington.
