With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVerne Willis of Stockton, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on August 13, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherwood Willis and Pearl Willis (Belk); his daughter Marcella Portner; his grandchildren, Austin and Chloe; and his brother Sydney.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Heidenreich; his children, Sue Miller (Kevin), Julie Romaine and Kimball Willis (Sandy Staas); his grandchildren, Jessica, Caleb (Esther), Sara, Elizabeth, Avri, Rachel, Micaela, Joshua, Jaime, Lydia, Landon, Tiffani and Maggie; and his siblings, Marianne, Eugene (Barbara) and Sherman (Marcella). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
