He was predeceased by: his father William Nielsen; and his brother-in-law John Jamison. He is survived by: his mother Janet Nielsen (Spradlin); his wife April Denton; his children, Preston of Byron, Seth of Byron, Sheldon of Byron, Bayleigh of Byron and Landon of Byron; his siblings, Jennifer Jamison (Jason Wescott) of Byron, William Nielsen (Michelle) of Schaumburg and Shane Nielsen of Oregon; his grandfather John Spradlin of Oregon; his brothers-in-law, Rick Denton and Dale Denton; his nephew John Jamison (Amber Brown); his nieces, Amber Jamison, Sydney Nielsen, Grace Nielsen and Kandice Nielsen; and his great-nephew Mason. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or be made to his memorial fund set up at Byron Bank.
