With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Gibson (Stillman Valley, Illinois), born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on June 8, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvid Anderson and Genevieve Anderson (Johnson); her son David Gibson; and her brother John Robert Anderson. She is survived by: her husband Lester "Gibby" Gibson; her children, Robert Gibson (Angela) of Beloit, WI, Carol Leitz (Michael) of Loves Park, IL, Matthew Gibson (Teresa) of Joliet, IL and Donald Gibson (Sarah) of Stoughton, WI; her sister Miriam Nelson (Robert) of Rockford; and her grandchildren, Arabel Gibson, Jadyn Gibson, David Leitz, Jonathan Leitz (Theia), Abigail Leitz, Katherine Gibson, James Gibson, Grace Gibson and Kyle Gibson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund is established for the Valley Evangelical Covenant Church, Northeast Christian Church, or the Rockford Rescue Mission.
