He is survived by: his wife Carol Stuit of Stillman Valley; his children, Robert (Rhonda Renolds) of Albuquerque, NM and Mary Pierce (Michael) of Boulder, CO; his sister Noel Hoekstra (Mark Albian) of Downers Grove, IL; his grandchildren, Aaron Pierce, Nicole Pierce, Michael Hoekstra and Lucas Hoekstra; and his cousins, Donna Bird of Phoenix, AZ and Linda Jensen of Arlington Heights, IL.

Memorials are established for Rock River Senior Center, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, and the Stillman Valley Lions Club.
