James L. Moon Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L. Moon Sr. (Stillman Valley, Illinois), who passed away on September 22, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Moon and Bessie Mae Moon (Watrous); his grandparents, Loman and Dessie Watrous; his stepmother Margaret; his wife June; his grandson Jamie Moon; and his siblings, Ruth Rehard, Donnie Moon and Lonnie Moon.
He is survived by: his children, James Moon (Susan) of Monroe Center and Roxanne Konopi of Carol Stream, Illinois; his siblings, Bea Jonas, Shirley Kremer, Sue Ann Rigano and Mike Moon; his granddaughters, Nicole Konopi, Natalie Boswell (Larry), Molly Engelkes (Gene) and Amanda Poulin (David); and his great grandchildren, Connor, Dalton, Carson, Neveah and Caeden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kishwaukee Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church (8195 N Kishwaukee Rd, Stillman Valley, IL 61084). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations in his name may be made to either Kishwaukee Community Church or the Serenity Hospice and Home of Oregon.
