He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Byes and Fleda Byes (Reeves); and his siblings, Melvin Byes, James Lester, Jerry Lester and Jessie Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Fell; his children, Construction, Jan Dyal (Kevin), Jodi Jones and Jason Byes (Zipporah); his grandchildren, Sarah Dyal, Brian Dyal, Kendall Calvert, Taylor Ferguson (Mark), Erin Gorzynski (Erik), Dan Byes (Paige), Jordan Byes, Noah Nelson, Sierra Nelson, Josh Nelson and Marriah Nelson; his great grandchildren, Paityn Jones, Addilynn Jones, Zach Ferguson, Anna Ferguson, Waylon Ferguson, Malakai Calvert, Arabella Bentley, Blake Gorzynski, Grant Gorzynski, Josephine Byes and Juliana Byes; and his siblings, Marilyn Marr, Dewain Lester (Joanne), Lee Lester (Peggie) and YuLonda Hubbard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
