It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred L. Schimel of Stickney, Illinois, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Marianne; his sons, Paul (Brandi) and Brian (Kristen); and his grandchildren, Abby, Nate and Jeffrey.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or VA Fisher House Foundation (https://connect.fisherhouse.org).
