He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred and John; his wife Dorothy Mae Desparrois; and his brothers, Herbert Strieby, Earl Strieby and Robert Desparrois.

He is survived by: his children, Edwin Jr. (Ginger), Anna Janisch (Frank), Barbara McCord (late Gerald), William (Sonia), Dawn McClanahan (Willie), Donna Schrey (Ken), Delores Rodriguez (Edward), Darnell Gutierrez (Antonio), Joseph (Natalie), Sandy Mendoza and Anthony; and his siblings, Frank Desparrois, Darlene Strama and Michael Desparrois.
