He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert A. Shumate and Dorothy M. Shumate (Spain); and his brother Delbert Allen Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Overbeck of Stewardson; his children, Joshua (Lauren) of Catlin and Jesse of Stewardson; his grandchildren, Hillary, Frankie, Michael and Christopher; and his siblings, Dwight (Dawne) of Mission, TX, Charles (Sherri) of Potomac, Barbara Riggleman (Gary) of Alvin and Mary Osborn (Keith) of Potomac. He is also survived by his family and friends.
Memorial donations may be given to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
