She is survived by: her parents, Jean Cox and Vernon Elam; her husband Donald Rumsey Jr. of Salem, OR; her sons, Derric, Owen Elam of Portland, OR, Dominic Eugene Rumsey of Des Moines, IA and Dean Stewart Rumsey of Stewardson, IL; her grandson Nathaniel Lee Johnson of North Vernon, IN; and her siblings, Cheryl Lynn Hosin of Effingham, IL, Cynthia Diane Elam of Effingham, IL and Clifford Dale Elam (Sheila) of Mesa, AZ. She is also survived by three nephews and three nieces.
