It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Celesta Shannon Reed of Steward, Illinois, born in Kansas, Illinois, who passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gross and Alma Gross (Eichman); her spouse Clare Reed; her sons, Roger and Greg Shannon; and her siblings, Jerry, Opal and Berdina.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Shannon (Athena), Gary Shannon (Connie), Mary Suddeth, Vicki Doughty, Sally Ranken (Lyle) and Mike Shannon (Christen). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
