He is survived by: his former wife Minerva Salazar; his children, Minerva Boyungs (Craig) of Colorado Springs, CO, Pam Dokotum (Okaka) of Uganda, John Rangel (Pam Kolb) of Sterling, Fred Rangel (Missy Schmitt) of Sterling, Tony Rangel (Kathaleen) of Davenport, Margarito Jr. Rangel (Anna) of Addison, IL, Jorge Rangel (Patti) of Dubuque, IA, Ron Rangel (LaRin) and Michael Rangel (Erin DeSutter) of Sterling; his stepchildren, Barry Pettorini of Sterling and Robin Pettorini of Knoxville, TN; his sisters, Eva Escobedo of Fresno, CA and Ramona Lee (John) of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren, Craig Boyungs (Yolanda), Jesse Boyungs and Freddie Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Alex Boyungs, Antonio Boyungs, Eli Boyungs, Andrew Boyungs, Easi Rangel, Isla Osborn, Miles Osborn, Micheala Costa and Kollins Kohl.
