He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene McCarty and Bertha McCarty (Baker); and his sister Caroline "Suzie". He is survived by: his son Justin McCarty of Sterling; his siblings, Roice Scott (Dean) of Rock Falls, JoAnn Tubbs of Rock Falls, Danny McCarty (Mary) of Rockton, Pat McCarty (Chris) of Harmon, Mart McCarty (Terol) of Rock Falls and Roger McCarty of Sterling; his granddaughter Ravyn McCarty (Darian Gilpatrick); and his great grandchildren, Ayden and Amya.
