He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Marion Giesecke and Agnes Gladys Giesecke of Belvidere, Illinois.; his wife Jean Giesecke of Shabbona, Illinois.; and his siblings, Louis "Ben" Giesecke of Belvidere, Jerry Dorn of California and Shirley Andrews of Peoria, Illinois..
He is survived by: his children, Kelsey of Chicago, Noah of LaSalle, Illinois and Roger Challand (Connie) of Indianapolis, IN; and his grandchildren, Andrew Challand of Indiana and Jenny Harris (Ryan) of Indianapolis, IN.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BIG Red Church (311 2nd Ave, Sterling, IL 61081). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to The Big Red Church and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
