As Maria departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Maria. Though Maria may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Exiquio Echebarria and Maria Echebarria (Rodriguez); and her spouse Sigifredo A. Moncivais. She is survived by: her children, Debra Lira (Jason) of Sterling, Antonio Moncivais (Tori Shelley) of Sterling and Pete Moncivais (Veronica) of Rock Falls; and her brother John Echebarria of Sterling. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home (1002 12th Ave, Rock Falls, IL 61071). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (1908 E 3rd St, Sterling, IL 61081).
