Leland B. Eilers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leland B. Eilers of Sterling, Illinois, who passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Leland had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Leland may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Eilers and Ethel Eilers (Stern); and his brother Larry Eilers. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Eilers of Sterling; his children, Lynette Verbout (Jeff) of Dixon, Brent Eilers (Katherine) of Sterling and Brad Eilers (Kam) of Sterling; his niece Julie Jackson; and his nephew Mark Eilers. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church and Hospice of the Rock River Hospice and Home.
