With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Lewandowski (Sterling, Illinois), born in Oregon, Illinois, who passed away on August 3, 2019 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lewandowski and Katherine Lewandowski (Gritzko); his wife Suzanne F. McFadden; his son Frank Lewandowski; and his grandson Thomas Lewandowski.

He is survived by: his children, Kate Deschamps (Vinnie) of Cave Junction, Ore, Mary Tutterrow (Eddie) of Rock Falls, Margie Martens of O'Fallon, Judy Hammett (Terry) of Sterling, Joseph Lewandowski (Sue) of Nelson, John Lewandowski (Judy) of Theodore, Ala., Thomas Lewandowski (Tammy) of Bonita Springs, Fla. and Kazimir Lewandowski (Danella) of Sterling. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling.
