He was predeceased by: his father Fred E. Block; and his sister Karen. He is survived by: his mother Helen Block (Ohms) of Sterling; his wife Deborah of Sterling; his daughters, Amy Bailey (Shawn) of Vista, CA and Jennifer Schmidt (Scott) of Dixon; his siblings, Julie Pyle (Steve) and Jeff Block of Rock Falls; and his grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan, Noah, Lily, Alyssa and Hailey.
