He was predeceased by: his parents, David Carter and Myrtle Carter (Hippler); his siblings, Carmen Papoccia and Tom Carter; and his uncle Earl Hippler.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick Carter (Lydia) of Savanna, Holly Carter of Rock Falls, David Carter (Sheila) of Sterling, Deborah Flynn (Jim) of Ft. Mill, SC and Daniel Carter of Aurora. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
