It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma May Teneyuca of Steger, Illinois, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Wilma May departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Wilma May may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Wilma May leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Celestino "Poncho" Teneyuca. She is survived by: her children, Florence Malacina of Cedar Lake, IN, Celestino Jr. Teneyuca of Crete, IL and Rickey Teneyuca (Pam) of Momence, IL.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL 60475). A prayer was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Liborius Church (3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL 60475).
