He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Ruiz; and his siblings, Guadalupe Garcia and Alexander Ruiz (Rosalie). He is survived by: his children, Amanda Blackman (James), Adam Ruiz, Jordan Ruiz (Patti) and Carla Kiroloss (Hanny); his granddaughters, Delilah and Amelia Blackman; and his siblings, Oralia Ruiz and Amadita Martinez (Albert).
