He was predeceased by: his son Jason Nykaza; his parents, Nick Nykaza and Julia Nykaza; and his siblings, Leola Pavlik (Edward), Dorothy Kish (John), Lorraine Kozlowski (Ted), Leo Nykaza (Stella), Edward Nykaza (Betty), John Nykaza, Raymond Nykaza (Edna), Henry Nykaza (Delores) and Eugene Nykaza (Marie).
He is survived by: his children, James Nykaza Jr. and Lori Oswald; his stepson Steve Zarrella; his grandchildren, Dominick Camilleri, Khloe Oswald and Silas Oswald; his son-in-law Frank Camilleri; and his brother Walter Nykaza (Gerry).
