She was predeceased by: her parents, Clabern Merrell and Leona Merrell (Buckner); her husband Donald Helsel; her children, Charles Helsel and Janet Helsel; and her brother Charles Merrell.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Helsel (Michele), Kathy Helsel and David Helsel (Ann); her daughter-in-law Christine Taylor (David); her brother Bill Merrell (Grace); her grandchildren, Amber Coates (Jeff), Mandy Helsel (Adam Schoff), Joshua Helsel, Joseph Helsel, Stephen Peternell (Katie), Charles Helsel, Genevieve Helsel, Makenzie Helsel, Anthony Helsel and David Helsel; and her great grandchildren, Jay Helsel, Charlotte Coates, Jack Coates and Hudson Peternell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
