He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Bud" Knop and Dorothy Mathis Knop; his former wife Cynthia Welshans; his daughter Melissa Knop; and his sister Suzie Padilla.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Knop of Steeleville; his children, Shawn Knop (Karen) of Percy, Bruce Dudenbostel (Joyce) of Herculaneum, MO and Laura Dudenbostel-Poncia (Daniel) of San Jose, CA; his grandchildren, Cody Knop, Joseph Poncia, Emily Dudenbostel, Nicolle Poncia and Logan Hennerichs; his brothers, Lynn Knop (Jane) of Belleville and Mark Knop of Lovell, WY; his aunt Betty Ashley of Steeleville; and also Matt Young of Steeleville.
Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Walsh or Wounded Warriors Project.
