It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman W. Mayer of Steeleville, Illinois, born in Coulterville, Illinois, who passed away on March 20, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Mayer and Marie Rabe Mayer; his siblings, Lloyd, Loriena Ebers and Virginia Ebers Marion Roethlesberger; and his son-in-law James Miesner.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Mayer of Steeleville, IL; his children, Brenda Parker (John) of Steeleville, IL, Deb Caby (Randy) of Campbell Hill, IL and Ron Mayer (Lana) of Cape Girardeau; his grandchildren, Alicia, Craig Rednour, Aaron Miesner (Lindsey), Bethany, Justin Parker, Amanda, Ryan Cleland, Scott, Brittany Caby, Rachel, Tiglet Besara, Jairus, Natasha Mayer, John Parker, Jr. and Elizabeth Parker; and his sisters, Erna M. Salger (George) of Steeleville, IL and Verna Beck of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
