He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul G. Knop and Ester Knop (Schnepel); his wife Sharon Klosterhoff; and his brother Paul D. Knop. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Haake (Glenn) of Chesterfield, MO and Cynthia Metcalf (Doug); his grandchildren, Devin Metcalf, Jill Moneau and Susan Hoake; his siblings, James Knop (Marilyn) of Percy, IL and Doris Rahlfs (Harry) of Steeleville, IL; and his sister-in-law Nancy Knop of Sparta, IL..
