With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Allen Ashley of Steeleville, Illinois, born in Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father William D. Ashley. He is survived by: his mother Betty R. Knop Ashley of Steeleville; his siblings, Michael Ashley (Cindy) of The Villages, FL and Susan Kontz (David) of Steeleville; his foster brother Arlan Thies of Steeleville; his nieces, Laura and Melissa; his nephew Bruce Kontz; his great-niece Kristina; and his great-nephews, William and Jonah.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 11, 2021, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, with Rev. Mark Harris officiating.
Memorials may be given to the Activity Fund at the ComWell Agency at Red Bud (formerly Human Service Center), St. Mark's Lutheran Church, or Randolph County.
