He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Helfer and Venita Helfer (Cash); his sons, Kevin and Kelvin Helfer; and his siblings, Shiral Helfer and Vera Homa.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie J. Helfer of Staunton, IL; his son Kenneth Helfer; his grandchildren, Michael Helfer, Kenneth Helfer, Destiny Pratt and Shain Helfer; and his great grandchildren, Aaleigha Helfer (Travis Wallace), Brooklynn Helfer, Ivy Butler, Landyn Helfer, Alanzo Pratt and Paulie Pratt.
