It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Bono of Staunton, Illinois, born in Litchfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Bono and Ruth Bono (Smith); and his in-laws, Otto and Virginia Schuette. He is survived by: his wife Laurel Schuette; his children, Leslie Grabruck (Mike) of Bloomington, IL, Nathan Bono (Vicki) of Staunton, IL and Jenna Bono of Staunton, IL; his grandchildren, Lily, Anna, Hollie Grabruck, Hazel and Violet Bono; and his sister Nancy Thornton (Charley) of Wildwood, MO. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Memorials are suggested to either Zion Lutheran School, St. Michael Catholic Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
