He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert William and Elizabeth "Betty" Henry Sr. (Weir); and his brother H. William "Bill" Henry Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Genelle Shutt of Des Moines, IA, Richard M. Henry Jr. of Alton, IL and Emily R. Henry of Anchorage, Alaska; his grandchildren, Meghan and Wilton Morrisey; his sisters, Michele Walsh (James) of Florissant, MO and Laura Maul (Jon) of Aurora, IL; and his sister-in-law Kathy Henry of Manchester, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, & cousins.

“I met Rich in 1997. My late partner Marty Blitstein and I would stop and visit him at the Ra66it Ranch. We'd meet up at meetings, or have long laugh filled conversations on the phone. Rich loved his family, his community, and cared not only for 66 in Illinois but the entire 8 states. A jack of all trades, Rich was generous with his time and friendship and was never shy about sharing his opinion. Gone way too soon. Godspeed.”
