He is survived by: his wife Claudia Mathenia; his children, Angela Showalter (Aaron), Amanda Daughtery (Jim), Chris Mathenia (Ellen) and Nehemiah Mathenia; and his siblings, Paul Mathenia, Rose Spencer, Jerry Mathenia, Linda Birmingham and Joyce Plenske (Chad). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
