He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his son Kevin M. Embrey; his parents, Alfred and Louise; his grandson Eric Embrey; and his brothers, James "Bud" Embrey, Sr. and Charlie Embrey.
He is survived by: his children, William D. Embrey, Jr. (Marci) of West Virginia, Paula Kennealy of Fairview Heights, IL, Julie Summerfield (Troy) of Arkansas, Jeanette Pool (Pat Molton) of Staunton, IL and Keith Embrey (Shannon) of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
