He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ashley and Nora Ashley (Adams); and his siblings, Nell Hill, Thelma Brashears, William and Glenn Ashley.

He is survived by: his wife Sondra Ashley of Staunton, IL; his children, Keri Bickmore (Jeff) of Staunton, IL, Gregg Ashley (Terri) of Oak Grove, MO and Julie Feldmann of Staunton, IL; his grandchildren, Nick Streeb (Elizabeth) of Staunton, IL, Eric Streeb of Staunton, IL, Jessica Ashley (Phil) of Columbia, MO, Emily Pate (Kyle) of Blue Springs, MO, Marissa Manning (Corey) of Greenville, IL, Jacob Feldmann (Lindsay) of Staunton, IL and Mallory Feldmann (Kyle) of Livingston, IL; his great grandchildren, Walter, William, Oscar Ashley of Columbia, MO and Skyleigh Streeb of Staunton, IL; his sister Phyllis Watts (Dan) of Hamilton, OH; and his sister-in-law Lillian Ashley of Springfield, IL..
