He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Tyler and Alta Tyler (Gross). He is survived by: his wife Karen Tyler; his children, Kristi Hoerdemann (Eric) of Bloomington and Timothy Tyler (Molly) of Lexington; his stepchildren, Jeremy Shindel (Annie) and Tara King (Rich); his grandchildren, Hayden Hoerdemann, Elliot Hoerdemann, Kate Hoerdemann and Tess Tyler; his stepgrandchildren, Riley Jenkins, Bradley King, Ashlin King, Adon Shindel, Gabe Shindel, Corban Shindel, Elias Shindel, Isabella Shindel, Archer Shindel, Vinny Shindel, Roman Shindel and Campion Shindel; and his sister-in-law Sue Tyler of Stanford, Illinois. He is also survived by niece and several nephews.
