He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy and Susie (Childress); his wife Phyllis Jack; and his siblings, Petie, Pepper, Alice and Gladys.

He is survived by: his children, Kim Kurniskie and Brian Carroll; his siblings, Betty Lou Clenney (Jimmy), Roger Carroll, Jerry Carroll and Carl Carroll (Maydel); and his granddaughter Jessica Kurniskie (Trisha). He is also survived by 2 grandsons; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
