Nerone of Springfield, Illinois, born in Benton, Illinois, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Nerone and Nellie Nerone (Galbraith); his wife Carole Duerr; his daughter Karen Collins (Johnny) of Haw River, NC; his grandchildren, John Patrick Collins, Hannah Nerone and Roman Gabriel Nerone; and his siblings, James Nerone, Donna Dean and Sue Langley.
He is survived by: his sons, Craig Nerone (Birdie) of Laramie, WY, Alan Nerone (Lisa) of Williamsville and Gary Nerone (Amanda) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Natalie Cavaligos (Steven), Daniel, Zachary Nerone, Mary Schramm (Jim), Aidan, Frederick and Helen Nerone; and his great grandchild James Schramm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Home Services and Third Presbyterian Church.
