With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Verne Stinebaker of Springfield, Illinois, born in Chambersburg, Illinois, who passed away on August 11, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Stinebaker and Verleen Stinebaker (Speer); his wife Virginia "Darlene" Stinebaker; and his daughter Susan Roth. He is survived by: his son Marvin Stinebaker (Michele) of Riverton; his son-in-law Kevin Roth of St. Charles, MO; his grandchildren, Jill Mutzbauer (Brett), Heather Bailey (Troy), Heath Stinebaker (Ryann), Jordan Roth (Lyndsay) and Brooke McCollum (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Claire, Emmett, Cooper, Cole, Dax, Dylan, Duke, Alivia, Everleigh, Quinn, Micah and Rory; and his siblings, Marilyn Webb (late Paul) of Godfrey, Lester Stinebaker (Terry) of Woodson, Larry Stinebaker (June) of Meredosia, Donna Foy (late Chuck) of Vidor, TX, Judy Evans (Larry) of Murrayville, Karen Hamby (Bob) of Murrayville, Nancy Hamby of Murrayville and Jerry Stinebaker (late Retha) of Winchester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
