It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Walter J. Hoyt Jr. of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 86, on January 18, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sr. and Mary L. Hoyt (Clanahan); and his brothers, James and Bobby Hoyt. He is survived by: his children, Alora Brown (Rick), Cindy Hoyt and Curtis Hoyt (Michael Ruocco); his stepdaughters, Frances Ingram and Charlene Troxell Monts; and his siblings, Marion Shaw and Harry Hoyt. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Butler Funeral Home – Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
