With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Mehundrew of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on July 10, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Harvell and Zola Harvell; her children, Nadine, Earl and Mildred McCrary; her grandchildren, Michael, Monteal Pulliam and Earl Moore III; and her siblings, Linda, Harry, Charles and Hertis Harvell.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmie Mehundrew; her children, Wallace Frazier (Debbie) of Arizona and Sharo Moore of Springfield, IL.; and her siblings, Robert Harvell Springfield (Dorothy Brandon), Ida Jackson, Shirley Thomas Harvell of Springfield, IL., Johnny (Lorene Walton) and Willy (Mary Mehundrew). She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren.
