He was predeceased by: his father James Hay. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Figueira Hay of Springfield; his children, Jace Crowder-Hay of Rochester and Erika Hay of Chicago; and his siblings, Terri Jacobs (Chad) and Tom Hay. He is also survived by two nieces, two nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
