She was predeceased by: her parents, Doug Etten and Alice Van Etten; and her in-laws, Vernon and Mariette Uphoff. She is survived by: her significant other James L. "Jim" Uphoff of Springfield, IL; her siblings, Douglas Van Etten, Jr. (Deana) of New Port Richey, FL and Sara Drew (Mike) of Morton, IL; and her stepdaughters, Christina Nees (Allan) of Ashmore, IL and Lisa Patterson (Greg) of Mattoon, IL. She is also survived by four nieces; a nephew and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
