It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonya Lynaye Wilburn-Massey (Springfield, Illinois), born in San Diego, California, who passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 36, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandfathers, Raymond Massey (Jeanette) and Felix Wilburn (Hattie). She is survived by: her parents, Donna Massey of Springfield, IL and James Wilburn (Renee); her children, Malachi Hill Massey of Springfield, IL and Jeanette Massey of Springfield; and her sisters, Eva Wilburn, Khadijh Wilburn-Allen and Breeanna Toles (Joe). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
