With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sondra L. Szillagyi of Springfield, Illinois, born in Beatrice, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton A. Brott and Alice L. Brott (Jarchow); and her sister Donna. She is survived by: her husband Joseph E. Szillagyi; her children, Gregory Schmidt (Lucie) of Phoenix, AZ, Randall Schmidt (Sylvia) of Peoria, AZ, Joseph Michael Szillagyi of Denver, CO, Rachel Stocker, Beth Szillagyi (Roy Sims) of Springfield and Dianna Szillagyi of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Ryan Jackson (Janece) of Oakhurst, CA, Tyler Schmidt of Phoenix, AZ, Levi Stocker of Calvert City, KY, Blake Ruggles of Springfield and Jenny Steffen of Bloomington, IN; her brother Douglas Brott (Sharon Hilt) of Kansas City, MO; her great grandchildren, Riley and Madison Jackson of Oakhurst, CA; and her pet Molly. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
