We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Shirley F. Nelson of Springfield, Illinois, born in Yates City, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyle Burton and Freda Chapman Burton; her siblings, Richard Burton and Carol Watters; her grandson Michael David Kassing; and her nephew Jeff Watters.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Nelson; and her daughters, Chris Schone (David), Terri Tieche (Bob), Brenda Ingold (Mike), Becky Butterfield (Doug) and Diane Farniok (Craig). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in honor of Shirley may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
