She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur L. Withrow and Mary V. Withrow (Payne); her husband George W. Burris; her siblings, Bonnie Mae Anders and James O. Withrow; and her great grandchildren, Alexandria "Gabby" Doss and Ta'Niyah Lowman.

She is survived by: her children, Darren Burris and Rhonda Wilson of Springfield. She is also survived by three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
